I am a young spirited energetic
lady in my 50’s working with Mother Earth and creating
sacred spaces. Working with the earth comes naturally to me
as I spent my childhood on a smallholding on the Yorkshire
moors.
In the summer of 1996, I first created the
garden. It was to be the centre for the Rainbow Circle Healing
Area and was very successful. In the summer of 2000, I decided
to spread my wings and take the garden to other festivals
and gatherings with a couple of earth magic folk to help.

| Since the garden
was created it has given joy and love to the:- Buddha Field
Festival, Lammas Gathering, Tribe of Doris, Tribal Earth, Pathways,
Autumn Equinox Gatherings, Big Green Gathering and Glastonbury
Festival with The Wheel of Astrologers. |
To create this unique garden, I need approx 30 square ft, which
will form a circle with two Oak Trees to form an arched gateway,
which I feel is very important. (I can provide two where necessary).
There are wind chimes, bells, a Goddess, Pan with pebbles and
shells in water. This creates a space to fulfill and quieten
the heart and soul. Also, a small fairy castle for children
with animals and birds so parents can relax and enjoy while
they play (children cannot enter without a grown up). It is
very important that I use recycled materials as much as possible,
which helps the unique setting of its organic nature. |

The garden is also a venue for:- morning meditation, massage,
reflexology, yoga, children’s stories, weddings, hand
fasting, small workshops (dream catchers, jewelry), astrology
readings, animal cards etc. Photos of the garden were used
on the Big Green Gathering Tickets and in the 1998 programme.
The garden is lit at sunset every evening each day to provide
a magical setting to be seen from a distance. I make and provide
twelve-hour candles to ensure a magical setting all night.

| Just
give me a space anywhere and I can create this magical setting
for all to enjoy. I leave without trace. I do need a flat space
but a slight slop is OK. A tap quite close is essential too.
There are approx 60 plants of which I have 8 trees anyone is
welcome to bring a plant or Shamanic object to add to the magic.
The energy exchange is very important to most people who visit
the garden and the interaction I find very rewarding. During
the winter months, I often receive small gifts and seeds for
the garden and over the years people come back to re-kindle
their pleasure from the precious year and see their own input
come to life. This inspires me to create even more. |

My live-in vehicle
for transporting the garden unfortunately uses four-star petrol
and consumes one gallon each thirty miles plus oil and general
wear and tear. The twelve hour coloured candles cost thirty
pence each. Usually thirteen candles and seven night-lights
all hand made. I hope to receive an evening meal each day
during the duration of my stay on site with the garden. As
I enjoy re-cycling, the winter costs for setting up the garden
are quite low but any donations would be very helpful.
